Jillian Van Niel is a performer, teacher, country singer, and part-time superhero (okay, not technically, but close). She splits her time between Brooklyn and Phoenix, chasing big dreams and good tacos.
Originally from California, Jillian basically grew up on stage—her first cameo was toddling through a 42nd Street rehearsal like she owned the place. She’s been hooked ever since. She’s toured the country with The Addams Family and Ragtime, and crushed it in roles like Sally Bowles in Cabaret and Inga in Young Frankenstein.
She’s also been a trainer at Body By Simone (yes, she can plank for longer than you), and the Head Teacher at Center Stage, helping kids fall in love with theatre—just like she did.
These days, Jillian’s making noise as The Pocket Cowgirl, a pint-sized powerhouse bringing country soul to NYC stages. She’s a little bit Broadway, a little bit honky-tonk, and all heart.
